Meet Jake Kohl

Originally born in South Korea, Jake was adopted at 6 months old and grew up in the Midwest Region of the United States. After graduating from high school, he attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, graduating in 2012 with a Computer Science and Philosophy double major. Wishing to be part of the developing community, Jake chose to stay in the Fargo/Moorhead area and began working at the Microsoft Campus as a Support Engineer for SharePoint Online.

After two years of providing support to both small business and premier enterprise customers, Jake moved onto to the next career opportunity with Intelligent InSites. As a Technical Application Specialist, he installs, configures, and supports the InSites Application deployment at customer sites. He also has an internal focus towards process improvement and expanding the company culture.

Outside of InSites, Jake serves as the current Director of Communications for Rival Gaming, a competitive eSports association in North America and has founded the Rival StarCraft II League, a tournament aimed towards players who are about to break into the premier level tournaments. On top of that, he is an active member in the Fargo Community who has co-founded several local initiatives in Fargo, including Games on the Plains and Klink.

When not engaged with saving the world, Jake enjoys keeping up with eSports, learning how to design graphics and edit videos, cruising around town on his bicycle, live streaming on Twitch, reading a good book, listening to Public Radio, enjoying a drink or two with friends, playing Pokemon Go, and traveling to find the next great adventure!
